Fierce for the Future Campaign Wrap Up

In June 2022, LSU’s $1.5 billion fundraising campaign achieved its goal three years early. The Fierce for the Future campaign marked LSU’s first comprehensive fundraising campaign. For the first time, all of the university’s campuses throughout the state were invited to join in the excitement and energy of the campaign by raising funds for their own initiatives.

We are thrilled to share that our generous donors raised $77.6 million in support of LSU Health Shreveport during the Fierce for the Future campaign, surpassing our campus’s $52.5 million initial goal.

While the numbers are significant, we are honored to share the stories behind these meaningful and impactful gifts. 

Included in this publication, you will find:

• The Noel Foundation’s legacy of philanthropy through their gifts to the Center for Medical Education, the Center for Brain Health, the School of Allied Health Professions, and medical student scholarships.
• An update on the White Coat Scholarship Campaign, including spotlights on the inaugural White Coat Scholars.
• A celebration of the complete funding of the Center for Medical Education, and how one medical alumnus honored his late father with a gift.
• New endowed giving totaling more than $5.1 million in support of faculty, students, and departments.
