lsu health shreveport foundation hosts inaugural white coat scholarship luncheon

On Wednesday, March 6, 2023, the LSU Health Sciences Foundation hosted the inaugural White Coat Scholarship Luncheon at the Petroleum Club of Shreveport. 

Top donors, LSU Health Shreveport leadership, and faculty gathered to celebrate the success of the White Coat Scholarship Campaign and the fourteen scholarship recipients from the School of Medicine.

Students in attendance represent the inaugural White Coat Scholarship recipients, as well as endowed scholarship recipients.

Dean of the Medical School, Dr. David Lewis, students Driskell Green and Meredith Nelson, and Noel Foundation board member, Steve Walker, each spoke on the importance of institutional scholarships.
